School of Communication Arts

Stride is partnering with the School of Communication Arts, offering 20 scholarships to the innovative online advertising course. Get prepared for a fast paced career in the ad industry.

Who are School of Communication Arts?

School of Communication Arts was founded in 2009 with a commitment to seek out the best creative talent and nurture them to become the next generation of advertising superstars. As a portfolio school, School of Communication Arts is supported by over 100 of the top advertising agencies who donate money to fund scholarships and provide mentoring for students.

What’s the School of Communication Arts programme all about?

Stride is funding 20 scholarships on the School of Communication Arts 12-month advertising online course, where young people will be taught by faculty members and a network of over 1,000 advertising industry mentors in a welcoming environment. To make the programme inclusive for all, everyone will receive free laptops to complete industry related coursework that will prepare you for a fast-paced career in advertising.

What will you gain from taking part?

Aspiring advertising superstars will attend daily online classes and lectures and will get practical coursework to complete in groups or individually. Much like in a real Mad Men style ad agency, you will receive campaign briefs and have to work precisely to the client’s requirements. You will prepare presentations up to full commercial standards and quality to prove your understanding of the client’s needs. After all the hard work is done, you’ll leave with the opportunity to showcase your success at the annual Portfolio Day event where hundreds of advertising industry professionals scout out fresh talent, usually leading to a highly sought after placement or job.

Who’s the School of Communication Arts programme for?

This programme is perfect for you if you’ve always dreamt of working in the fast-paced world of advertising. You can apply for this programme as long as you are 18+ and live in Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark or Wandsworth.

Places are going fast but there are a few remaining scholarships available for Lewisham and Wandsworth residents. Make sure to apply before 31st August 2021 to join the 10-month online course kicking off in September 2021.
